So I need to give a shout out to the team at Pro Hood Cleaning Austin Texas.  These talented folks can go into a commercial kitchen and make it look beautiful again.

Eating in a restaurant should never be a dangerous thing.  You need to have confidence that the kitchen is clean, has no bacterias, and has no foreign substances that are going to get into your food and then lend up in your body.  That’s why commercial kitchens are so stringently inspected.  Or are they?

safe or not.  I want to know that the owner of the restaurant and his cooking staff care to make their kitchens safe and super clean.  So, I like knowing that the restaurants in Central Texas are being maintained by Pro Hood Cleaning.  These guys are really good at what they do.  And commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning is important to them.

I’ve heard horror stories about places that have not had their kitchens professionally cleaned.  And patrons are subjected to disgusting possibilities without ever knowing what is going on in the kitchen.  Just watch Bar Rescue a few times, you’ll get the picture.  They will go into kitchens in bars and restaurants and show the filth that has been over-looked.  Mostly it seems that the kitchen is in disrepair because the owner/manager is depressed and does not care because they are so far in over their heads.  If you see signs of this in any establishment, run for the hills.  Food poisoning is not fun.

Outside of health concerns, the other big reason that a commercial kitchen hood cleaning is important is to minimize fire danger.  This is especially important in kitchens that do an extensive amount of deep frying.

With deep frying, the oil is heated to very high temperatures,  and when food, such as potato fries and chicken fingers, are dropped into the oil, water is also introduced to the oil.  This causes the water vapor to turn to steam and rise up.  Along with the water vapor, the steam will carry some particles of oil into the air.  Then that oil is going to stick to surfaces and become grease.  Now that form of grease is a highly flammable sludge.  And if enough heat and an open flame are introduced – you can have a very serious fire which is water resistant.  Yikes.
